"The great thing about tournament wrestling is you get to see a lot of different guys wrestle a lot of matches," said head coach Sam Gardner. "A lot of our young guys stepped up and rose to the challenge today which is always nice to see."

The Battlers finished the day in second place with 105 points trailing champion Greensboro by 10 points.

"This was a great opportunity for me to see our guys wrestle multiple matches and evaluate guys up and down the roster," said Gardner. "I'm pleased with the way our guys competed today."

The Battlers are back in action on Thursday when they travel to McHenry, Md. to take on Garrett College. The match is slated for 6 p.m.
