AB Wrestling Goes 1-3 at Inaugural Great Midwest Duals

TIFFIN, Ohio -- The Alderson Broaddus wrestling team finished the Inaugural Great Midwest Duals with a 1-3 record.
The Battlers scored a victory in the opening match of the second day of wrestling 39-18 over Kentucky Wesleyan. AB took advantage of three forfeits and three falls from Curtis Cox, Nick Sulhoff and Gino Sita. Levi Hobbs also claimed a decision at 149.
AB opened wrestling at the G-MAC Duals with a 34-14 loss to Findlay. Breandan Coughlin scored a 6-4 decision at 125. Sita scored a fall in 32 seconds and Jared Burgoyne accepted a forfeit.
The Battlers fell 47-6 to host Tiffin with Cox scoring a major decision and Sita earning a decision. AB dropped a 38-7 decision to Lake Erie in the final dual of the weekend. Hobbs scored a decision at 149 and Sita scored bonus points for the third time in four tries with a major decision at 174.
The Battlers are back in action on Wednesday when they host Garrett College in their final home dual of the season.
