Ohio Valley Takes Duel over Sothern Virginia University

Vienna, WV – Ohio Valley University wrestlers took a 25-18 win over the Knights of Southern Virginia University at the Snyder Activity Center Saturday. It was the Scots fourth dual win of the season against only one defeat.
The match started with a win for the Scots as Anthony Tripke (North Port, Florida) used three take down's, in route to 11-3 major decision over his opponent Aaron Friedhoff. Tripke moved his record on the season to 18-9.
Both teams would forfeit at 133 for the match. Then Scot 141 lb. Colten Nangle (Washington, West Virginia) would take the next match, as he would decision his opponent Jayson Cody 11-4.
The Scots would then forfeit at 149 to make the team score 7-6 after the forfeit. Being down one point the middle of the Scot lineup would take over.
Freshman T.J. Lambiotte (Mineral Wells, West Virginia) would record a major decision over Matt Rohrdanz of the Knights. Lambiotte improved his record to 19 wins against 10 defeats.
Dalton George (Williamstown, West Virginia) was on the mat next. George the reigning GMAC wrestler of the week would show why, he is currently sixth in the country. He would pin Keaton Gomez at 2:14 of the match.
Match was over when: Tyler Koreski (Parkersburg, West Virginia) sealed the deal for the Scots, as he would decision his opponent 7-2 to give the Scots an insurmountable lead in the team score at 25-12.
What's Next: Scots travel to Alderson Broaddus February 8, as they will take on the Battlers in a dual beginning at 7 PM.
