Re: Alternate Uniforms: Causing More Problems Than It Solves

Based on where I have been and who I talk to, I have seen/heard nothing about people grabbing the new uniforms. It is like any other rule change. The wrestlers need to learn the changes and get their heads right before competition. This uniform crap is just that. The two biggest things that prevent ...

Re: Ironman Stats WV

This is what I could find for the history of the Ironman for WV wrestlers. Sorry if I missed someone it was not intentional. This could be the year that a West Virginia wrestler from somewhere other than Wood County makes the podium. Hall and Rea are in loaded brackets but are capable of placing. T...

Re: Triple A 145 Cream Rising in Region 4

I haven't heard yet where WV runner up Carder is gonna be yet,,,,, Strong word is that Carder is heading to 145. If he arrives, at 145, region 4 will be stacked. We still do not know who Huntington, Spring Valley or Cabell Midland has. Region 4 eliminates some good wrestlers for States But of cours...

Re: South quad

Hats off to Hurricane, Woodrow Wilson and Riverside. They earned a lot of respect from me to come in and face Goliath. Good luck with the season. December 21st, there will be a couple of "Davids" coming to face Goliath. Although these "Davids" will not have "14 stones"...

The ranking do not mean anything. Anything can happen on any given day. You also have to take into the schedule that Gator maintains.

AA 126/132 Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide

A lot can happen but here is what the dashboard says as of today: 2x state champ and 3x finalist Brock Whorton is at 126 on an East Fairmont team that has a full roster ready to challenge for some team titles. Flint is 132. Preliminary reports indicate that Weir's returning state champion Caleb Rea ...

Triple A 145 Cream Rising in Region 4

Without doing any research, asking any questions and reading only two scores, we already have a cluster brewing at 145 over in AAA region 4.

Three of the top wrestlers are piled in this region.

Burdette/Ripley
Flinn/Parkersburg South
Long/Hurricane

Note to rest of wvmat community see how easy that was? Tsfip has a problem, voices his concern, coach Doyle steps up, raises his hand and says my bad I tried but it didn't work and I'll fix it. Well done coach! Amazing. Some problems have to be discussed once a year in a committee and then it takes...

They say "iron sharpens iron". Sometimes it is "iron beats off the rust". I do recall seeing many scores last season. When South went across the border, I recall a few dual matches where Lambiotte and DeLong were the only winners. Allman was out with his knee. Lambiotte and DeLon...

vortex I feel sorry for that senior. You are presenting yourself as a supporter of him, yet even you don't think he can beat out this "new talent". Hopefully his coach has more faith in him than you do. With that said, a coach who has watched a kid be a part of the team for four years, bu...

We will analyze and debate this on another topic discussion. However, the Winner's Choice would be a "winning choice" for Braxton County. Great tournament and closer to home.

Please elaborate. Are you saying that the more teams that enter, it causes some challenges? I would think with all of the forfeits most teams possess, letting Braxton County in would almost go unnoticed.
