I think they will be a good dual team. Overall, i think the upper weights (165-hwt) will carry more of the team. Unfortunately Amos suffers from not having a wt class between 197 and HWT. He’s been ranked, but don’t believe he’s won a match at NCAAs. This year was injury, but pretty sure went 0-2 last year. If only there was a 215/220 class

Tough match. Moore head-butting Hillegas, and causing a medical forfeit was the deciding factor, unfortunately. Needed the win at 184 to bring it within 3 points, and think Cooley could have easily gotten a major, if was looking for that and not having to get a pin to tie the match.

I wasn’t able to be there, and only able to follow on the team’s twitter account, but unfortunately, they only posted the final scores. The scores looked good, but how did the wrestling look? For anyone that was there, what does the “eye test” tell you?

It looks like Titus lost in the first round by med forfeit..Assuming if he is in the bracket, must have made weight, so did anyone see if he got hurt in the match, or did he not take the mat?

WVU needs a 197. He could give WVU an immediate national champion. Also make the home matches fun to watch. If the stuff they are saying about him and his brother is true, Flynn wouldn’t want nothing to do with him. The 197 they picked up, Cooley, took 5th at U23s.. not saying he’s the same caliber...

It will be interesting to see if Cooley wrestles at U23s. Just looked through flo’s brackets and last year at 97 he defaulted to 8th after getting injured against Gavin Hoffman in Consi’s. Must be the shoulder injury he’s rehabbing from. In 2021 took 7th at 92kg in UWW Juniors. Can watch the matches...
