I'm not ready to call it solid growth yet, but i am definitely optimistic. I think after we get past a couple of the tougher duals, I feel like we will know better what we have.

The Conley/Joll wrestle off was really close. Conley was in deep on several shots and could not finish. At the end of the open period they will have to decide on his redshirt, I really think he may be better than Joll by then.

If Titus had not been injured, I am thinking that he might also have appeared in the rankings. Also I believe Rhoades beat Titus last year when both were 133 so who knows where Rhoads will fall. I watched both Barrickman and Rosario wrestle at Raider Rumble. Barrickman looked really good. Rosario looked good but not quite as good as Barrickman

I know Pullens from Fayetteville won 160#beating Toms from Shady in the finals. Truman from Oak Hill beat Dorsey from Greenbrier West in the finals at 170#. Pullens won the MOW award. Sorry don’t know the rest.

I think they should rename this the Mountaineer Meatgrinder. I didn’t check all the weight classes but I noticed that 6 of the top 10 at 160lbs will be there.

If you rank coaches by volume, Coach Yonk at Fayetteville is the clear winner! Started the program there in 1985, he is still there for its last year in 2018. Great guy, awesome coach, dedicated to the program and growing young men through the sport of wrestling.
