If Nitro, Winfield and Ripley were in it, it would be much better.

Re: WSAZ 106 JVs
Junior varsity! One of my favorite topics. This is one of the reasons why the WSAZ is a great tournament. Many great teams and usually many great JV wrestlers coming in to show how they stack up. The 106lb weight class was filled with all kinds of JV action. Working up the podium, Huntington High h...

Re: JV at the WSAZ
Something seems odd. Why was Cussucio a starter at Winner’s then JV at WSAZ. However, he clearly was the better wrestler at WSAZ. Must’ve got on the coaches bad side or something.

Talking about deja vu. Wasn’t Cussucio in the middle of a JV/ Varsity controversy last year and now the same thing again this year?

Re: Hats?
This tournament seems to stir up some sort of controversy every year. It’s not usually related to wrestling, which is usually top notch, but some side issue. Charging table workers, hats , rude behavior from administrative staff, etc.. I’m not sure why it always seems to occur there but it does. I h...

They are usually pretty decent. My son used to go up there and wrestle a lot when he was in youth league. I think that school has about 3500 kids.

My family was involved with the school transportation system for many years. Their all out, of that line, of work now. One of my parents retired from it about 5-6 years ago. The last 10 or so years, they worked, the cancellations and delays got much worse. Why? Because every time the weather became ...

Huntington is going to make some noise this year. They are a quality team for sure. However, I looked down there roster last night and they have very few seniors. They’re going to be very tough for the next couple years.

Nope don’t know yet. Depends on where everyone else falls out on the line up and where his coach tells him he wants him. It’s not solely his choice where he wrestles.

Re: WV Wrestling Hall of Fame
Ken Chertow had a great HS and college career.... He was however beaten soundly in the 1982 WV finals by South's Rich Underwood. Just a tidbit. Are you suggesting that possibly the most well known wrestler, from West Virginia, be held out of the HOF because of one high school match? I'm not trying ...

That fatalistic, predetermined outcome mindset prevents improvement. It seems though you will be happy. It is unlikely that it will change, maintaining the ...
