Re: BROOKE RESULTS ?????

Note to rest of wvmat community see how easy that was? Tsfip has a problem, voices his concern, coach Doyle steps up, raises his hand and says my bad I tried but it didn't work and I'll fix it. Well done coach! Amazing. Some problems have to be discussed once a year in a committee and then it takes...

Re: Tough openers

They say "iron sharpens iron". Sometimes it is "iron beats off the rust". I do recall seeing many scores last season. When South went across the border, I recall a few dual matches where Lambiotte and DeLong were the only winners. Allman was out with his knee. Lambiotte and DeLon...

Re: Ethics with Talent vs Dedication

vortex I feel sorry for that senior. You are presenting yourself as a supporter of him, yet even you don't think he can beat out this "new talent". Hopefully his coach has more faith in him than you do. With that said, a coach who has watched a kid be a part of the team for four years, bu...

I would put the OVAC bracketed tournament #1.

We shall debate this one in January.

We will analyze and debate this on another topic discussion. However, the Winner's Choice would be a "winning choice" for Braxton County. Great tournament and closer to home.

Please elaborate. Are you saying that the more teams that enter, it causes some challenges? I would think with all of the forfeits most teams possess, letting Braxton County in would almost go unnoticed.

I wouldn't want to predict who will be in what weight class just yet, but I am excited about this years team. Obviously we lost a great wrestler when Levi Jarvis graduated. On the upside, we return six state qualifiers, three of which placed. We also have some solid freshman coming in like Logan Co...

Re: AA/A 138

138 in AA/A is looking like a gooooooooood weight class this season. 1. Harris/Independence. 2x finalist and third place last season. Go look at the who's who that has denied him a state title and then look at their resume. Slated for 138 this season. 2. Cook/Madonna. Runner up at 132 last season. ...

OVAC 132

The 132lb weight class could be very interesting at the OVAC tournament. It looks like we could see South's Luke Martin vs Weir's Caleb Rea vs. Oak Glen's Peyton Hall. Martin and Rea went 1-1 last season. Also, we could see these three go at it at South's ROAC on January 10th, 2018. Mark your calend...

If the coach runs an honest and ethical wrestle off, then the wrestlers will decide who is varsity and who is not. That is where you need the most ethics placed. The most talented and/or hardest working should prevail.

December 21st - Baddest of the Bad

On December 21st, South vs. East Fairmont vs Independence.

Somebody has raised the idea of getting Parkersburg High School invited and making this evening a Super Quad!

This would put the two best AAA and two best AA schools under the same roof.

East Fairmont's Brock Whorton to Clarion University and Cole Laya to Wheeling Jesuit.

Wheeling Park's John Nash to West Liberty.
