What is the criteria for coach of the year? Is it simply the coach of state championship team? I imagine several wrestlers (teams) will not be permitted to wrestle at states if strike happens and continues, sad but hopefully this will not be the case.

There are approximately 90 high schools in West Virginia. Take the top 30 by enrollment the middle 30 and the bottom 30 and let everybody go to the state tournament. This would eliminate any regions. Another wrestling season where better wrestlers may be watching from stands at states or not there at all. Sad this continues to happen and nothing resolved to correct it. It does seem other sports adapted to new trends and make adjustments to make improvements to their respective sports.
