I will again point out that the size of the mat is the biggest driving factor here. Kind of hard to allow wrestling at the edge when a wrestler can have one shoulder in bounds and the other on the gym floor because the mats are so small. I have seen plenty of matches in WV in which refs have follow...

Thats not what the rule book states for 2018-19....Rule 5-15-1.
There is no mention of any stipulations for awarding points. I have been to several WV matches and have seen no change in the out of bounds interpretation.
However, I did see the new rule applied in PA at Powerade.

Thought there was a new rule regarding out of bounds ?
If so I dont see much change ..

The issue is not recording of matches, its posting them on WVmat.

Oh and I personally witnessed a Freshman from South beat a good kid who won two matches at States last year and was 3rd in his Region. Too bad that it doesnt count.

You are correct he was 6-0. That makes no difference regarding why individual results cannot be posted. The reason why they are not posted my guess is that no one kept track of such things. Pitiful. The rationale that tournament “ directors” should simply be applauded for holding a match regardless ...

Save your energy TSFNPB.. my guess is that would involve too much effort, orginization and consideration for the kids efforts. My nephew went 7-0 on the day but good luck finding the individual results.
