Re: Honest
I have seen what you are talking about. I can't speak for others, but I do not promote this idea. I think a big part of it is the wrestlers are more focused on protecting the decision win rather than risk it for a major decision or tech fall win. Part of this stems from a lack of self-confidence an...

I want some honest insight on what you guys think about our states best wrestlers being satisfied with winning a match against a mediocre opponent by a point or two? I'm not gonna throw any names out there because certain team followers would have a stroke and I'm the bad guy. I get tired of seeing ...

Re: All class, why not
Independence has 5-6 JV wrestlers that could/should be ranked top 10 in the state. Honestly I think a minimum of 4 of those JV wrestlers get on the podium. I'm not gonna throw out any names but for those that know, well they know.

Re: Girls Wrestling
Does anyone remember a girl who wrestled in the late 80s through maybe the early to mid 90s by the Name of Kim Trusty? That girl was absolutely tough as nails. I'm pretty sure Jason Trusty was a younger brother or maybe cousin. I'm telling you, she could compete with the best in the state but she ki...

Re: Regional Realignment
You don't put South and Parkersburg in different regions. that battle in the region is just as important as any other meeting. Regions do need realigned but you can not separate those 2. I do like the 2 region format with 8 from each region going. that will make for good regional tournaments. you w...

Not the anti-America singer, but the high school wrestling team. Wow!!!!! They were within 1 1/2 points of East Fairmont today at the Williamstown Rumble. These two will be fighting it out in region 1 in three weeks. Lusher making the move to 113 broke up the murderers row and stole some team point...

I recently looked this one up for another reason but I will throw it out here. 2010 Mike Cotterell of Logan High School won the 285 pound state title. The individual ranking dates were as follows for Cotterell: 1/6/2010 Unranked (UR) 1/13/2010 UR 1/21/2010 UR 1/27/2010 UR 2/3/2010 UR 2/10/2010 UR 2...

Do you remember who the top 4 seeds were at that class that particular season? 126-152 are generally very competitive weights

Alotta these kids imo could be over ranked. Certain schools are either over or under or maybe even not ranked at all because of the particular school they represent. I seen south had a few kids ranked top 2,3, or 4 when the first set of rankings were released and now those same kids are ranked close...

Yes, your constant nagging on here about state tournament byes helped recruit kids out of the hallways. That means my nagging makes a difference and brings change. I guess even more nagging is needed. No, it just means that you are pretentious enough to think that your nagging specifically made a d...

:D I highly respect the coaching staff at Edinboro, but I don't necessarily agree with the sentiment. Re: Did Indy do enough at the wsaz s to top the team polls
Indy should have never been ranked anything but 1 even after the loss heads up in the dual. East had an upset at 138 that was a minimum 9 point swing and a huge pin at 182 on the verge of getting tecd so that's minimum 10 points swing. That was East Fairmonts night and a huge win. The fact is, Indy ...
