Well it shouldn't take you very long to count to three.

Re: Ethics with Talent vs Dedication

What do you tell a HS SENIOR kid that works hard for four years in your program, goes to every function to help out with events, and participates with fund raisers, finally may crack the starting lineup and the coach recruits other talented wrestlers to fill his spot that have not been with program ...

Re: Ethics with Talent vs Dedication

So a kid who hasn't wrestled lifted or traveled for three years is going to beat your kid who has been on the team but hasn't started for three years? If that is the case then I have a hard time blaming a coach for those facts. What have YOU done to get YOUR kid better? How long ago did he start wr...

Re: Preseason Rankings for aaa

He didn't even qualify for states last year, how tough could this Braxton amos kid be. . I think you missed Frank’s wry sense of humor in his statement. Agree, I think this was just a little jab in fun. Terrible that the kid didn't get to wrestle last year. He would have probably won states. Howeve...

Re: Can't Ignore the Numbers

Before everyone starts,,,,,,, look at how these small towns are drying up. There is no work, so A LOT of families are moving to find work. Some areas are booming and some are done. The schools are losing money. So the costs for the athletes who stay is rising. It is getting unaffordable. Constant f...

Re: Size DOESN'T Matter

After what happened last year I I certainly hope not, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone did. What happened last year? For years people have cut weight to avoid tough weight classes now the trend we are looking for is for kids to bump up for an easier road to the finals? It may be that they are...

Did Planet Fitness have from pizza on September 4th or was it postponed due to Labor Day? Great question!! Fakesouthfan? Bearhugger is an Indy fan, he is also a big fan of statewide high school wrestling in general. Where do you get fake South fan? Why so negative and condescending on everything? N...

Re: New Wrestling Program starting

I have heard from a very reliable source that Paden City will be starting a wrestling program this year! This in my opinion is great news for 'A' programs across the state. More schools every year are starting programs. While we might not have quantity, we can still develop quality young men in our...

I hope the new rules interpreter applies the rules equally, regardless of his former team affiliation. I hope that when questioned, the new rules interpreter treats coaches with the respect that he himself expects. I hope the new rules interpreter encourages wrestlers of all ages to compete and bec...

Re: Dr. Bill Welker

Very well said Wiseone (Ray). What the WVSSAC has done is nothing more than saying "We are the bosses, and we do not have to listen to anyone". They have set a precedent in their ruling at the state tournament. What are they going to do the next time? If you stick with the rule book, you ...

Re: WV Duals

Used to be a good tournament with a lot of competition. I wonder if it's not happening because so many wv coaches refused to support it. I don't know about previous years, but this year WV Duals was the same weekend as National Guard Duals. Being in direct competition with a big meet always will pr...
