Re: State superintendent meeting with county superintendents

Everything the teachers have posted have been proven accurate. Use the information the teachers are giving. So far, we are 100%. We were told everyone was going to states, and that has been proven true. Stop with speculation, use the information. We all got riled up for no reason whatsoever. If we j...

After cleaning up the junk, we all agree only one this year? Generally, we have a couple young ladies striving to reach the podium.

Re: Fight for every kids’ right to wrestle in Huntington

If the wrestler has done everything right to qualify for the state tournament and the tournament does indeed take place as scheduled, then yes, the wrestler has a right to compete. Why wouldn't they? The state tournament begins in four days. The alleged strike begins in four days. Regarding "F...

Re: Teacher's Strike VS State Tournament

It’s not a strike. Kids will wrestle. Sun will rise. You’ll stir the pot. These are the facts. Hopefully you are correct. All media reports have made it sound like it’s up to each county whether wrestlers get to participate. I’d be SHOCKED if a board of education or super kept the kids out. Absolut...

Re: Fight for every kids’ right to wrestle in Huntington

Might we be getting a tad carried away ? Not sure that comparing this situation , ( which has yet to come to fruition), to a geopolitical decision involving the Olympics is an appropriate analogy. Lol. And is it truly the wrestler’s “right” to compete in a High School wrestling tournament? I, of co...

Great conclusion buddy. It sounds like your a great role model for student athletes as well. Except not really. I'm not sure how making that comment has anything to do with anything...but ok. Judging by your previous comment it sounds like you don’t think that it was a terrible thing to do to a kid...

Now , now Rick. Appears that as a lawyer you are spinning that story in a shady light . Coaches move wrestlers around all the time to benefit their team. Re: 4 Byes in AAA

I can see arguments for many of these solutions being solid. I prefer a single state tournament, mainly because it would make our champion a bit more prestigious. Let us all face the facts...in open tournaments when a PA or OH state champ draws a WV state champ, there is rarely the fear of God place...

For a man that knows standard deviation, you lack the base knowledge on trends. A country-wide trend in wrestling participation is absolutely relevant when referring to what is happening in our state. Again, our numbers matching (actually being higher than last year) is very important, regardless o...

Yea...this whole growing the sport thing is misguided. We lost 73 wrestlers. 1573 down to 1500. Hardly a time to panic. Not even out of the standard deviation. We ok. What is the actual standard deviation that you speak of? Please share your data. Standard deviation? That's the +/- of any given sta...

Re: Rea Defeats Teasedale

Don't shoot the messenger. Just posting the info that was found. I doubt they are making any excuses for Teasdale; probably just inaccurate information. He's going to Penn State and Cael probably is not concerned about one loss on the resume when there are three (probably four) PA titles also attach...

The real issue is quite simple. You are speaking 100% on speculation. The actual criteria was not posted on this forum, and yet you speak of this as if you know the exact criteria. To be quite honest, most tournaments that seed without a meeting have a rubric they follow, and the only way head-to-he...

The coaches are also responsible for sending relevant information about other competitors at the tournament. The tournament director should not have to dig through pages of results to confirm all of the head-to-heads. Funny thing about seeds...they do not really matter when you have to actually toe ...
