Coach Williams what does the early lineup look like?

I wouldn't want to predict who will be in what weight class just yet, but I am excited about this years team. Obviously we lost a great wrestler when Levi Jarvis graduated. On the upside, we return six state qualifiers, three of which placed. We also have some solid freshman coming in like Logan Conley (WVYWA Champ, Jr States Champ, WSAZ Champ), Tyee Ellison (2nd @ WVYWA, 6th @ WSAZ), Justin Paletti (2nd @ WVYWA, 3rd @ WSAZ, 6th @ Va Beach) and Sturgis May (2nd @ WVYWA, 6th @ WSAZ). Should be a very good year if everyone wrestles to their potential.

Braxton County needs to enter the WSAZ.

Agreed. Not as many will enter state tournament with near perfect records and parents whining about rankings but the wrestlers will actually have a test and know what needs work and where they stand.

Not my call. You wouldn't hear me complain one tiny little bit if we did...but not my call.

Unfortunately it is not cost effective for many teams to attend the WSAZ tournament.

Winners choice has overtaken WSAZ as the premier bracket tournament in WV... IMO.

I would put the OVAC bracketed tournament #1.

In my opinion, they are about the same. WSAZ tends to have better out of state talent come in, but Winners Choice is still a great tournament.

Never been to OVAC, but from what I can tell, there are some hammers wrestling in the OVAC from Ohio.

Whoever's call it is, they need to start dialing the phone.

Please elaborate. Are you saying that the more teams that enter, it causes some challenges? I would think with all of the forfeits most teams possess, letting Braxton County in would almost go unnoticed.

We will analyze and debate this on another topic discussion. However, the Winner's Choice would be a "winning choice" for Braxton County. Great tournament and closer to home.

We shall debate this one in January.

I wasn't counting conference, regional, or state tournaments...

All three tourneys are good but for WV State preview I give the nod to WSAZ. Good luck Braxton
