Thanks Sam, your ranking help feed the discussion boards, I like reading the chicken scratch it creates. I,give Bearhugger idea 100% . The some JV wrestlers have great records placed in tournaments, they should be ranked also right with Varsity. They beat varsity wrestlers at tournaments. I see no problem having 2 kids from one school being ranked in same weight, if he has beaten head to head others on list he should be ranked also.

M.Simpson-Uni has been out all year with a broken hand. G. Donahue-PHS moved down to 106 several days ago. Long at 145 has lost to Camiletti-Bke and Timberlake-WP. Swafford lost to Fullerton-PS and then he moved up to 285 and then dropped to 220. Smithson-Buck dropped to 145 a long time ago. Miller-Pres is 25-0 at 182. Chapman-Riv is deinitly # 2 in AAA at 285, he only lost to Haga-PS 1-0. Stewart-Hunt lost to Carman-JM. N. Bailey-SA should be in the top 10 at 138. T. Williams-GW only lost to your #2 Wood-WP 6-4 and deserves to be in the top 10 with a record of 22-3. Roberts-PS beat Lorea-GW 7-0, Miller-Muss beat Lorea-GW 8-5. I don't mean to pick you apart, I just think you missed these results.

Adding to your comments on 145

Long has split with Timberlake, but won the last matchup.

Re: Camilletti, a simple head to head look doesn’t work because several wrestlers have all defeated each other. I believe Long has since defeated at least 3 wrestlers who hold wins over Camilletti: 2-1 Dec over Wood (John Marshall); 2-1 Dec over Creese (Oak Glen); and11-2 Major dec over the Avon Lake kid who defeated Camilletti.

This list seems to reflect those results and focus on the most recent placement at the Cameron tournament where Long picked up the wins over Wood and Creese, and Creese defeated Wood.

My own list is very similar.

Thank you Sam for caring enough about the sport to do all this research. I’m sure it’s difficult to gather all the data needed to do this. I’m sure YS also appreciates the input and he can make adjustments to his rankings.

Sam, here are some more results you might find useful: 145- Jake Whiting(RC) has dec Long (Hurr) 5-4. Davis (BkSp) has dec Whiting (RC) 4-3. Pretty sure both have beaten Alderman. Maybe Davis 4, Whiting 5, depending on where you think Smithson goes. I don't think there's a whole lot separating the top 10-15 boys in this class. 152- Harvey should be at the #2 spot, I believe. If Kincell is at 152, I don't know if he has beaten Mitchell (LC), but Mitchell has dec Reichard 6-4. Possibly Mitchell 3, Reichard 4/5, Kincell 4/5,.. Other than a bit of a gap at the top, I think these guys are all pretty closely-matched also. Thanks, Sam, for doing these. I guess a lot of people do enjoy seeing a number by a name.

If this is true Vortexfan is going to be very very angry. Expect a post about loyalty and ethics again.

I don’t like putting undue pressure on Sam, but maybe we could see an AAA and AA/A ranking now that a few big tournaments are completed.

Thanks for what you do for the sport YS!

As Trump would say “WRONG!” zzchoosetop, the earlier ethics post has nothing to do with Porter, if it wasn’t for the kid involved that doesn’t want his name mentioned,I would explain a lot more about that. Its not my kid but I support him. Thanks for thinking of me though. BTW kid didn’t quit but his dream of going to states will
Not happen but if JVs were allowed he would have a very good chance of placing among the competition. Another topic. Good luck to you

Quite a few JVs placed in numerous weight classes at the WSAZ. Review the results. Much more than last season at the WSAZ.
