from 2002 to 2018, the state results were posted SO much better than the last 4 years. it was so much easier looking at the results; name, grade, school and record. Why don't we go back to that format. if there was no complaints for17 years lets do it that way !

I am thankful for what the site administrator does here on WV MAT. As a coach over the years my interest has been wrestling which is covered well here and maintained throughout the years. To keep the site up and running you have to pay to have the site hosted on something like Go Daddy. The administrator is doing this out of his own pocket would be my guess because there is no advertising or pay wall. My other primary coaching interest has been track/cross country which has a site very similar to this one runwv.com run by Josh Weekly. We are blessed to have what we have in WV.

I too am very thankful for the WVMat coverage of our sport, and unlike the originator of this thread, I was VERY satisfied with the coverage of the tournament and posted results. With the slightest bit of knowledge you could actually follow the scoring and progress of each match, instead of waiting for posted results like 17 years go - it was nearly live feed...

Thanks WVSSAC and WVMAT....

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

A huge thanks also is due Robert St. Clair, who runs the Sikora software for the state tournament. I am totally a fan of the live scoring. During the first session of the AAA state tournament, our matmaids had to serve as tappers because the kids slated to work the tournament couldn't get out of school. I was able to get all of our stats, thanks to the Sikora software.

And while we're on the subject of table workers, I thought the young ladies who worked the tables from the various schools (I know of East Fairmont, Huntington, and Point Pleasant, but I'm sure there were others) did a great job!

Not gonna lie, WV Mat is the best high school wrestling site out of the wrestling sites for all 50 states. Bar none.

I think those responding to TSFNP comments are interpreting his comments incorrectly.. I believe he is referring to state tourney posting of results that are found on the State Wrestling link that allows the reader to view brackets and info about state wrestling tournaments.
He prefers the relatively older format of summarizing results. Or maybe I am wrong.

It would be nice if you could see the records of each kid. Small issue tho.

Thanks for the shout out to my girls Jenny. They worked hard and I think they did a great job.
