why in the world is the region 4 at Barboursville Middle School

Cabell Midland is the host the season but there is a scheduling conflict at the school.

Before consolidation buc arena was on the campus of Barboursville High school, now home to Barboursville middle school, the original high school(which was used as Barboursville middle school) was torn down several years, ago and a brand new building was built on the exact location, buc arena and king field where saved.

Region 3 teams at the time where:

the first region 3 tournament held at cabell midland high school was in 1995

the new huntington high school was also scheduled to open for the 1994/85 school year, delays pushed the opening to the 1996/97 school year
