St. Clairsville Whiteside Invite 12/28/24 (tentatively full)

St. Clairsville High School located in eastern Ohio is looking to add teams to it’s holiday invitational on 12/28/24. The tournament will take place at the ECO center located on the campus of Ohio University Eastern. Invites have been to sent to teams all over the states of Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Maryland and Indiana to get a variety of competition. Our goal for this season is to have at least 24 varsity teams, extras will be allowed, to run a pool to bracket tournament. The top 20 wrestlers based off of seeding criteria will be entered into the main tournament with everyone outside of the top 20 being placed into a “silver” bracket. The main bracket will start as a pool with 4 pools of 5. Winners of each pool will then be placed in the semifinals to determine places 1-4. 2nd place in each pool will be placed in the consi semis to determine places 5-8. Finally, if the tournament runs smoothly at the new location, which we believe it will, we would like to have a vote prior to the finals of all teams if we continue with the 1 day format or if we would like to expand to a 2 day tournament. There will be a minimum of 4 mats with the possibility of 5/6 depending on the number of teams and other varying factors.
