I'm looking forward to seeing the seeds and possible matchups. Some weights could be a preview of the finals in Huntington Saturday night.

I counted 63 top 10 ranked wrestlers coming into the ROAC at Parkersburg South High School in 8 days. It's going to be brutal!

Several and I mean several good wrestlers will not make it to states from Region 4 and this is a shame! (Also region 1 in AA)

Sure would be nice to see two regional's and the top eight go on to the state, sure would make State tourney have a better chance to have the better 16 wrestlers in each bracket.

It would help some of the usual 3rd to 6th place teams to have more of their team to compete for the school title.

Such a wealth of competition at the regional level should make the state tournament easier.

Thank God for my recent, new found knowledge that "rankings mean nothing". If I was still living in the past and believing that the rankings meant a little something, I would find everything on this thread quite disturbing.

That 113 class is a nightmare. The Childers kid (Midland) was ranked until the last week or so. He has missed the last few tourneys. Not sure if he's ill, injured, or left the team. If he hadn't dropped off the ranking list it could be seven ranked kid for seven teams, in the region. Anyway, the point is every kid in that class has to tools to beat every other kid. Throughout the season,in head to head competition , this has proven to be the case. None have dominated the others. They're all pretty good! In any class if you survive Region 4 your chance of placing in states has to be pretty decent.

Here's an example Hinzman, Holley and Lanham all in the same class ranked 1-2-3. Think about the poor kid who draws the 3rd place guy from this region and thinks "Well, the kid was third in his region ... how good can he be?" LOL.

I hope these regions are fixed after this season. Otherwise, we will have to talk about them until they are.

That is not a very valid example. There are only 29 schools, how much of a secret do you really think Hinzman is, or Holly is, or Lanham is after all of the competition and results from this season.

Nobody is going to be surprised, the results are published for most schools, matches, and tournaments.
