Please call errors to my attention

Using the 2017 AAA State Tournament Underclassman data to evaluate the 2018 regional strength, we have the following:

Best rated top five teams by region:

Region 1: 2
Region 2: 0
Region 3: 1
Region 4: 2

Best rated top ten teams by region:

Region 1: 3
Region 2: 1
Region 3: 1
Region 4: 5 or 50%

Totaling the returning points by region, we have:

Region 1: 115
Region 2: 30
Region 3: 57
Region 4: 250

Regions 1, 2 and 3 combined is 202. Region 4 is 250.

Lost in the returning qualifier data is there are some quality wrestlers returning who missed qualifying this year.

In AAA there could be a few. In AA/A, I am sure there are more. AA/A region 1's 132 pound class left some quality wrestlers behind.

Look, it was the same gripe region 1 AAA had for years. South and PHS are perennially powerhouses. They moved from region 1 to region 4. The math will always follow them until the rest of the state emphasizes what Wood County does with respect to wrestling. This regional crap is a joke for a state with this quantity of wrestlers. All should wrestle in the state tourney, all one class. The cream has always rose to the top.

It wasn't a gripe. It was simply pointing out there are factors to consider besides returning qualifiers when evaluating regional strength for 2018. Your response seems to be a gripe though. So, stop griping, please. Thanks.
