We will open up a thread in the Coaches Only area in a day or two to vote on the Middle School team poll. WV-Mat usually throws one out there for starters, and the WV-Mat poll only counts for a vote if a Coach agrees with it.

I am having a particularly hard time getting started on this one for some reason. I'll throw this out here and welcome comments. The official poll will as always come from Coach vote. Your comments here are welcome.

Things should be a little more clear in a week with all but 3 or 4 teams in your list wrestling at the Clash.

Haven't had much time to send in any scores. Charles Town went to Big Ben Duals, lost to Dupont 41-39 & Milton 50-33.

Milton listed twice in the list above.

West Fairmont Middle School Team has done very well early on in the season. They should be in the Top 15 if not the Top 10.

Kind of hard to get a true judgement when people host tournaments and post no results. Many middle school programs don’t have twitter accounts like the high school teams. Tournament results not posted are Charleston Inv (contained a lot of the schools above), Falcon Invitational and Woodrow Wilson Duals. There were teams listed above that participated in those tournaments, would be nice to see how they did. I know coach’s have lives outside of wrestling but if your gonna host a tournament take a few minutes and submit the results or give them to someone to submit for you!

Top 2 is pretty easy so far. I think the rest can all beat each other on a given night, especially if any of them are down a wrestler or two.

Blenny is better than 12 and Milton over independence. John adams shouldn't be as high either, but besides that I agree with this.

Dupont beat Edison the first day to put them into the 2nd tier pool so in actuality they are right there behind Dupont along with Point Milton & Indy. SAZ will sort things out,,,,, most likely no ties there but it is possible I guess,,,,,

Dupont won the first meeting over Point at the Charleston Invitational (48-37) , but Point beat Dupont at big ben (53-27) and they beat them last weekend at the clash as well (40-27).( I got to witness that one before leaving for the day.)

So i would have a hard time putting Dupont over Point. But thats just my objective opinion with having no dog in that fight. What does everyone else think? I enjoy a good discussion of wrestling.

Point beat DuPont, but then lost to two teams. Yes they had some wrestlers hurt, but I feel like everyone was missing a couple wrestlers this weekend.
DuPont won the clash so I feel they should be 1st as of right now.

Point was missing 2 possible WSAZ Champs and there heavyweight. So if these rankings are gonna be accurate it's gonna be 1-point, 2-DuPont, then 3-Edison. With all three teams at 100% that's how it will finish.

Food for thought, Barboursville was missing three starters for both days of the Clash. One will be a top 3 seed at Z's. We lost to Indy by 16 down those 3, Point lost by 21 Indy down three starters. Tough to be competitive down 3 to start with.

Bville is 21-3 in duals this year, with one at the Clash due to criteria to a team they beat by 30 earlier in the year. Beat Blenny and Milton in a tournament. Beat DuPont in a dual when they were both full strength. They may not be number one or two, but no way they are 8th at full strength.

Actually, I Could be wrong about DuPont..it was the 2nd match of opening weekend so I just assumed they were at full strength.

Hope all kids for all teams are healthy at Z's.

So your saying Bville was at full strength when Hayes beat them forfeiting two spots.

I'm not sure what Hayes was. Barboursville was down a starter though as he got a concussion in the DuPont match, which was the prior match. Hayes won by 3. Hayes is a good team and has beat Bville two straight years. I'm not saying bville would beat them with both at full strength, but I'd like to see that match.

Come to the pirate duals this weekend and we will see .
