WVYWA Region and State Championship is this still happening

The WVYWA web site looks really good but has no real information.
I have seen very little information posted on Facebook or this forum. Since the regions were voted to be condensed to 4 which is similar to WV High School format with a pill system to seat brackets, that is about all we have to work with.
Our club as no idea who the region chair is and when the regional tournament is going to take place and what location. There has been some posts on Facebook about the State meet taking place at the Beckley Raleigh Convention Center the weekend of March 10. But nothing else!!
We are about 40 days out form this event. Is it still happening and can anyone within the know share the details and provide? Hotels need to be booked. You can't set a date and think that people will just show up. You/ We are trying to improve WV wrestling. Please don't lose sight of this.. With this tournment moving every two years a lot of people have no idea what to expect in a new location.

1) Can the web site be updated with dates, times and contacts for Regional tournaments.
2) weigh allowance for region and state tournaments
3) Is this a age or grade base tournament? ES 4-12 MS 13-15?
4) Please define the MS level requirements. Not all wrestlers took part in the WSAZ and I believe there are lot of questions about this.
5) Any rules that Raleigh convention has that we need to take note
6) Are you going to presale admission tickets
7) Post local hotels and resturants

What else am I missing???

1. Region 1 Chair – Scooter Myers – kevinemmitt22@gmail.com
Region 2 Chair – Mark Preolitti – mark@dandgmachine.com
Region 3 Chair – Tim Casto – outlawloggin@gmail.com
Region 4 Chair – Chris Morgan – cmorg77@gmail.com

2. There IS NO WEIGHT ALLOWANCE AT REGIONALS (All will be the weekend of 3/3-4/2018), THERE WILL BE A 1 LB ALLOWANCE AT CHAMPIONSHIPS(3/10-11/2018).

3. It is a age based tournament, age as of 1/1/2018.

4. Middle school wrestlers DO NOT NEED TO ATTEND A MEMBER TOURNAMENT. Just fill out a entry form by the deadline for your regional tournament and show up and wrestle. Unless, I'm mistaken, 12 yr olds have the option of wrestling in the youth or middle school division. But only one. If you choose to wrestle in the YOUTH division and you are 12, YOU MUST HAVE WRESTLED IN A MEMBER TOURNAMENT SOMEWHERE IN THE STATE DURING THE 2017/18 SEASON PRIOR TO REGIONALS.

5. No outside foods are allowed.

6.Yes, tickets will be available for presale.

7.Hotel list is coming soon. There are plenty of places to eat also. Hope this helps.

If you choose to wrestle 12u you have to go to a member tournament. And this weekend The Winter Throne is a WVYWA qualifier, And has a 12u and 15u divisions.

12 is 12, but as stated before. You must wrestle in a member tournament before a wrestler is eligible for the youth division.

It states in the rules that 11-12 year olds in 6 grade can wrestle in youth or middle school division but not both. Regardless of age all 7th and 8th graders must wrestle middle school division.

Correct, this was changed last year. If a kid is in 7 th grade and middle school wrestler, and is still 12, they have the option to wrestle 12u or middle school.
