Very good quad at Western Grb last night

Postby mscoach64 » Thu Jan 12, 2017 11:31 am

there were some great matches last night at Western Greenbrier. WG, Clay, Shady Spring, and Summersville were all present. Most teams were very evenly matched. I think WG went 3-0, Clay 2-1, Shady 1-2, Summersville 0-3. But, Summersville wrestled well and they are showing some good strides from the beginning of the season. Shady was close in all matches with chances to win. Clay has some holes in the bottom of the lineup, but are very strong from 110 to heavyweight. Western Greenbrier is strong through 155. Some great matches included Roat (clay) and Amick (summersville) at 123. Match was a battle with Roat having a 4-3 advantage until Amick picked up a late pin. Perkins (clay) and Noah Brown (WG) had a battle at 145. Perkins was undefeated on the season and had a chance to stick Brown at one point, but Brown pinned him in the 3rd. Tyler Cummings (Clay) 155 scored a 2nd period pin over McClung (WG). Ellis of Shady is as good as advertised. Kesterson of WG had 3 tough matches but won all 3. The Casto brothers from Clay are the real deal. The Summersville 135 seems to be really coming on as the season progresses. Jake Legg (clay) is a real force at 78.
