Tim Flynn new WVU coach-- fantastic hire

At Edinboro, Coach Flynn produced 38 All Americans and 3 different NCAA champions. Even coaching in the middle of nowhere, he led Edinboro to five top ten finishes at the NCAA Division I National Championships, and 13 top 20 finishes.
What a great hire by AD Shane Lyons.

I was bummed about not getting Hahn,,,,,, until this hire,,,,, wowie,,,, I am impressed with Shane Lyons

Great hire! Now I'm curious to see who his coaching staff will be and how many of the current roster and incoming recruits will stay.

Unlike football and basketball, wrestling team members can transfer & wrestle right away without sitting for a year

This is a great hire by WVU I consider Tim a great coach. My nephew wrestled for him at Edinboro!!! He's hands on , a great organizer, a truly outstanding coach, great recruiter, all business type of coach that is needed to turn the program around!!! I hope he brings those inroads in Pa. , Ohio, and NJ and the great wrestlers that are there to WVU!!! I think people will find him to be all of the above plus being approachable!!! I hope the wrestling community realizes what has happened by his hiring and jumps in with both feet to support the wrestling program at WVU GK

Any news on the rest of his staff? Are his current assistants following him to Motown?

As always well said George. His experience is what we needed. Best of luck to Sammy, hopefully he will look back with fond memories of his first head coaching job and build from it. Excited with the direction it is going

From what I hear , Port and Moore are coming along .
I have to say , I’m suppressed there isn’t more
Chatter on this. Tim Flynn might be the best thing to ever hit WVU. His draw from the sureounding states is going to be huge. Not to mention his ability to take the next level down athletes and make them great!!
