1st 2 time AAA Most Outstanding Wrestler

Postby TrueSouthFanInPburg » Tue Feb 27, 2018 2:02 am

Congratulations to Josh Humphreys for being the first ever two time AAA Most Outstanding Wrestler. The only other two time Most Outstanding Wrestler award went to Single A Cody Clark from Calhoun County. He claimed the award in 2007 at 130 and again at 135 in 2010.

Todd Kendell from Spencer and Cody Clark from Calhoun won the AA/A award twice and Jeff Courtney from Fairmont Senior won the AAA award twice as well.

Jeff Courtney of Fairmont Senior was co-ow with Matt Stevens in 2001 and won it outright in 2002. Fairmont Senior was AAA then. Zach Frazier is the nephew of Jeff.

What is the record for winning states at different high schools. Has anyone ever done it at 4 different schools.

Who cares if he attended 30 different high schools. It’s about the kids and as adults we should all understand that it’s about the kids. Josh is one of the best and I wish him best of luck! Grow up people. A WV boy getting National recognition is a good thing! To be successful you have to have good coaches and tough partners. What’s wrong with a great job son and a pat on the back? It’s almost like people hate winners and it’s wrong! Jesus, people try to make it look like a kid drives himself 80 miles each way per day. If a tough wrestler is trying to make it to the top we should have his back and congratulate him along the way. I understand but I really do not! A very tough and humble kid is not a sin! Support your in state wrestlers 100%. Enough of the cheap shots
