Comments:
Highlights include:
103 where Zubay knocked off Brooke champion Delligatti in OT
112 where Bonasso gave Roberts a much tougher match than at Brooke (where Roberts won 10-0)
135 Hartlieb (who did not make it to states last year) knocked off Lowers (4th place AA 119)
140 Holt (did not make states 99 was 6th 125 in 98) knocked off Glass (2nd AA 130 in 99 1st 98)

The final 2 matches proved to be very exciting. Oak Glen looked to have the match wrapped up after Belleville pinned Barber at 189 and Six took a big lead over Dotts 9-0 going into the 3rd period. Six chose bottom after Dotts had picked top in the 2nd period and almost got the banana split. Less then 20 seconds later Dotts had the guillotine locked in and Six fought hard for about a minute then gave up the fall. This put the score at FS 25 OG 27 going into the heaveyweight match where just a week earlier Hearst led Caughey at Brooke before getting caught in a cowboy (head and arm) and pinned. It was a very exciting match as Caughey caught Hearst twice in the cowboy again gaining 2 near fall points each time which was all he needed to secure the victory for Oak Glen. Hearst fought hard in the 3rd period trying to turn Caughey over but Caughey held on and the final was 9-5.

Both teams were missing a starter and seemed very even throughout as 9 matches were decided by regular decision and only 3 by fall.
