112 - Josh Snyder Hyndman, PA Fall Chris Greynolds East Fairmont 1:13
Hyndman's Josh Snyder was last year's Pennsylvania State AA runner-up. Fans who wanted to see this PA finalist in action needed to not blink, or they would have missed his entire tournament. Snyder disposed of his four opponents in this tourney in 10, 34, 49, and 73 seconds. East Fairmont's Chris Greynolds opened with an agressive attempt at a take-down, but Snyder was too much, scoring a takedown into a cross-face cradle and ending with the fall at 1:13 into the match.

Windows Media Video High Speed Modem ||Dial-up Modem|| - A flurry of action as Turnbull counters Ward's offense, scores the takedown, and picks up some back points.

125 - Jared Garvin Morgantown Dec Bobby Cooper Ripley 3-1
Two evenly matched wrestlers, where there was a lot of tactics and not much scoring. Garvin scored early in the 1st on a duck-under and Cooper escaped to end the first 2-1. Cooper took down to start the 2nd. He couldn't escape, and Garvin couldn't score. The third began with Garvin still leading 2-1 and taking down. Cooper turned him loose, but neither wrestler could score in the third. Final score 3-1 Garvin.

130 - Justin Lodge North Marion Dec Quill Ward Buckhannon 7-4
One of the more entertaining matches of the evening. Lodge scored first in the first period with a duck. Ward evened the score with a sit-out-turn-in, and the first period ended 2-2. Ward took down to start the second. Lodge was hit with a locked hands call and a full-nelson call, and Ward moved out to a 4-2 lead still on bottom. Lodge went in front with 3 back points off a cross-face cradle, and the second ended 5-4. In the third, Lodge started on bottom, scored a reversal, and the match ended 7-4.

140 - Mitch Smith Ripley Dec Henry Miller University 3-1
This was one of those "irresistable force meets the unmovable object" type matches like you see in the NCAA finals. Not a lot of action. Smith scored the first takedown, and the second round started with Smith on bottom leading 2-0. Smith escaped, and the third period started with Miller on bottom behind 3-0. Miller escaped, and the remainder of the match was wrestled on the feet. Final score, 3-1 Smith.

171 - Shane Bowker Myersdale, PA Def Brad Ammons Hedgesville INJ
Myersdale's Shane Bowker earned a spot in the finals after a 7-2 decision over Williamstown's top seeded Alan Tracewell. Bowker, a senior from Myersdale, missed the Pennsylvania State AA tournament last year by one match, and has just returned to the mats after a several week injury. Hedgesville's Brad Ammons was injured in his semi-final dogfight with Philip Barbour's Tony Charnoplosky, and could not make the finals.

Windows Media Video High Speed Modem ||Dial-up Modem || - Fairmont Senior's Matt Delligatti (blue) slides by to turn the corner and score a takedown.

215 - Jacob Lowe Wirt County Dec Eddie Anderson University OT Rideout
A classic heavy man match. No score in the first. Anderson takes down and escapes in the second. Lowe takes down and escapes in the third. Both wrestlers on their feet, both called for stalling. The match gets to the overtime rideout, and Lowe prevails. Give Lowe the credit, as he wrestled a smart match, fought off a determined escape attempt at the end by Anderson, and had enough stamina at the end to take care of business.
