Other highlights of the evening were Ryan Besedich's overtime win over Josh Dearth and Jason Conaway's 12-second pin over Tim Wheeler. Dearth came from behind to lead Besedich 5-4 in the final minute of the third period but then gave up a penalty point, opening the door for Besedich to get the go-ahead takedown in overtime. Wheeler, who has had some success in his senior year wrestling South's rugged schedule, found himself outmatched by Conaway's brute strength, giving up the quickest pin of the evening.
