  The annual mass mailing to solicit team information updates went into the postal mail this PM (142 mailings). These are letters with SASE included, addressed to your school, to update team information on this website. Thanks to those who have already submitted via the Submit Team Information Update page on this website. You may submit team updates this way, via postal mail with the SASE, or submit info via email. Many coaches are sending copies of their schedule via attachment to an email, which is great. Whatever you prefer.
  
  Coaches will continue to vote on the Coaches Polls via the "Coaches Only" area of the Forum. The usernames and passwords which were issued last year are still valid. If your lost/forgot your username and password, or didn't get one to start with, email me at tmiller@mountain.net and we will hook you up with a new username and password -- no problem. Or call me at home (304) 329-3830. (BTW, scroll all the way down to the bottom of this page for complete contact info).
  
  In addition, this year we will issue usernames and passwords to Assistant Coaches who may also wish to vote in the Coaches Polls. Last year I denied an assistant coach a username and password, on the theory that there should be only one vote per team. To that Coach I apologize. This year, by popular request, and in an effort to get more coaches involved in the polling process, head coaches AND assistant coaches may cast separate votes if they wish. If you are an assistant coach and want a username and password to vote in the "Coaches Only" section, send me an email request indicating the school you are with, and we will send you a username and password.

  Attention Coaches
  In conjunction with our Holiday Quad, North Marion will host a JV Tournament on Dec. 15, 2006. The tournament is open to any and all wrestlers of JV status. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. No team score will be kept and a $5 entry fee will be imposed to wrestlers from schools not participating in the quad with a maximum of $25/team. Coaches please e-mail your JV's and their weight class by December 13th so that I can start bracketing them ahead of time. Weigh-ins are at 4:00 pm, wrestling starts at 6:00 pm. Don't hesitate to call if you have any questions.

  The Kanawha Southern Wrestling Officials board will be conducting rookie training classes starting Sunday November 5 at 6:30 PM at Stonewall Jackson Middle School.
  
  This board covers all of southern WV to as far north as Nicholas and Braxton counties, the Huntington and Pt Pleasant areas, Beckley and as far east as the Greenbrier valley.
  
  This is a great way for formers wrestler who are now in college to earn extra money and stay involved and give back to the sport that they once dearly loved.

  The 2006 War on the Shore Tournament is looking for a couple new teams.
  Held in Ocean City, MD at Stephen Decatur High School, the War on the Shore has been named one of the toughest tournaments in the state of Maryland. Currently with teams from Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. December 8-9, 2006. 24 teams wrestled to 8 places on 5 mats. Awards to the top 4 in each weight and top 3 teams overall. It is a wrestling dual meet tournament in which every team wrestles each other. There are throphies for individuals 1st thru 3rd place as well as team awards.

  The University of Rio Grande is starting a varsity wrestling team. If you have any wrestlers who would like to wrestle in college, please let them know of the University of Rio Grande, Ohio. There will be an Athletic Visitation day Sunday, April 9 2006 -- check the website for time and place.
  We did have a club team last season.
