Lincoln County High School opened in 2006-07 as a consolidation of Guyan Valley High School in Branchland, Duval High School in Griffithsville, Hamlin High School in Hamlin, and Harts High School in Harts.

2007-08 is only the second year for a wrestling program at Lincoln County, as none of the component schools featured the sport at the time of their closure.
