Directions to school: Midland Trail High School is located in Fayette County, on U.S. Route 60. From I-19 (five miles north of the New River Gorge Bridge), go east on Rt. 60 for 1/2 mile. School is on the left, across from Gauley Sales.

Midland Trail is a 9-12 High School formed as a consolidation of Anstead and Nuttall High Schools. Midland Trail has sent several wrestlers to the AA/A state tourney, with the best finish by Eric McClung in 1995 (6th, 171).

Coach Richard Meece took over as head coach in 1997-98. Coach Meece is a graduate of Purdue University, and spent two years as a volunteer Assistant Coach with West Layfayette High School while there. He was head Coach at Stratton Jr High in 1993-94 and assistant Coach at Shady Spring Jr High during the 1995-96 seasons. Randy Halsey has spent several years coaching various sports since his graduation from Concord College. Three years ago he came to his senses and began coaching the only sport for men during the winter months. Coach Halsey is also the trainer during football season.
