We are 25 miles east of I-77 (Ripley) via Rt. 33, and approx. 30 miles north of I-79 (Clendenin Exit) via Rt. 119.

From the east, we are 40 miles west of Glenville on Rt. 33, or about 30 minutes from I-79 Amma on Rt. 36

Our school is near the junction of Rt. 33/ Rt. 14. At red light at Go-Mart, turn onto Rt. 14 N. Approx. 3 blocks ahead, turn right on Bowman St.(tight turn for bus). The school is just ahead a couple more blocks, in the former Spencer High School building.

The Spencer Middle School wrestling program consists of 6th thru 8th grade students. The Yellow Jackets are a member of the Central WV Athletic Conference. We are the only wrestling feeder school for Roane County High School. The Roane Lightning Wrestling Club is our local youth club, feeding our middle school program.

For 2008-09, returning from last year's program are: John Ash, Sean Blosser, Sam Lawson, and Ely Shreve. Welcome additions to our team this season are: Dillon Clarkson, Joe Copley, Mikeal Free, Scotty Gibson, Eli Kennedy, Kenneth Kudrick, Taylor & Tyler Lee, Preston Metzger, R.D. Monaghan, Caije Nichols, Josh Richards, Doug Smith, Caleb Starcher, and Matt Starcher.
