From I-79: Turn off at the Summersville/Beckley exit. Travel 25 miles south on U.S. Route 19. At the first light, turn left and drive straight ahead. The junior high sets directly behind the high school (Nicholas County H.S.).

From Beckley: Drive 40 miles north on U.S. Route 19. At the fifth light on 19, turn right. Drive straight ahead. The junior high sets directly behind the high school (Nicholas County H.S.).

Summersville Junior High (now Summersville Middle School) restling has a long history of wrestling success. The 90s were years with exceptional teams and wrestlers including, multiple undefeated teams and wrestlers, a thrid place finishing at the WSAZ tournament in 94' and an over-all 154-29 (1986-2000) dual meet record.

For 2007-08, Rick Leggett will assume the head coaching duties. Leggett was a 2 time AAA WV State Champ in 1979 and in 1980 from Nicholas County High School. He was also the Nicholas County Youth Wrestling coach from 2003-2007.
