The West Liberty wrestling team finished 7th at 2007 National Duals hosted by the University of Northern Iowa January 13-14, 2007. The Toppers opened with a Championship first round dual victory over Ashland, 21-17. After falling to #1 ranked Central Oklahoma (32-6) in the quarterfinals, the Hilltoppers responded with a win over Mercyhurst (22-14) in the consolations to move into the third round of the consolation bracket. There the Toppers would fall to Pitt. Johnstown by a score of 22-10, but would follow that up with a 22-17 win over Wisconsin Parkside to claim the 7th spot.
