West Liberty lost just two matches on route to a 30-6 win over Thiel College in their season opener Wednesday night at West Liberty ’s ASRC. The Toppers received wins from Lucas Huffman 5-2 (125 LB), Matt Mossor 15-0 (133 LB), Anotonio Nicholson 6-1 (141 LB), Joey Hagedorn 4-2 (149 LB), Justin Goneau 5-3 (157 LB), Tom Clark Pin Fall 1:25 (174 LB), Chad Snider 9-2 (184 LB), and Chris Taylor 10-1 (197 LB).
The win moves West Liberty to 1-0 on the season.
West Liberty will next be in action Monday as they travel to East Region power Pitt Johnstown who is ranked #3 in NCAA Div. II.
