Injury-Riddled Hilltopper Mat Squad Falls at ASRC

January 31, 2013

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The injury-riddled West Liberty University wrestling team dropped a 38-6 decision to Lake Erie College Thursday night at the ASRC.

The Storm (10-4) racked up two forfeits, a fall and a pair of major decisions in a dual meet that saw only seven matches actually contested.

The Hilltoppers (4-7) collected their only points of the evening via the forfeit route at 125 pounds but had to return the favor twice over as Coach Brian Davis didn't have a wrestler available at the 184 or 285 weight slots.

The West Liberty mat squad will try to get healthy over the weekend before returning to the ASRC mat on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. dual against Shippensburg.
