WEST VIRGINIA TAKES DOWN VIRGINIA TECH, 29-9
RYAN KEHLER TIES ALL-TIME PINS RECORD

Blacksburg, Va. (February 10, 2002) * The 11t *ranked West Virginia wrestling team won its sixth straight dual meet with a 29-9 win over Virginia Tech Satuday afternoon in Blacksburg.

Senior heavyweight Ryan Kehler pinned Pete Pool in :25 seconds to tie him for first on WVU's all-time pins list with Mark Cagle at 24.

Third-ranked Greg Jones scored a pin at 174, No.6 Tom McMath scored a four-point technical fall at 165 and No.20 Billy Smith scored a major decision to help pace the Mountaineers.

"This was a very solid weekend for us," head coach Craig Turnbull said. "I thought the guys were well-focused for today's match even after an emotional match with Lock Haven last night."

WVU will return to action on Friday, February 15, as the Mountaineers play host to EWL rival Pitt at 7:30 at the WVU Coliseum.
