WVU Accepts '05 National Duals Invite

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University wrestling team will be among the Top 16 teams in the nation next year, accepting an invitation to the 2005 Cliff Keen/National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Duals.

The National Duals, which will again be hosted by Cleveland State University, is slated for January 22-23. The National Duals has become one of the marquee collegiate wrestling events of the year as the top teams compete for a national dual meet championship.

West Virginia’s acceptance will mark the third straight appearance, and ninth overall, since the NWCA National Duals began in 1989.

Other schools invited in 2005 include: Cal Poly, Central Michigan, Cleveland State, Cornell, Hofstra, Illinois, Iowa State, Lehigh, Michigan, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Penn State.
