Big 12 Wrestling Championship Tickets on Sale

MORGANTOWN. W. Va. (January 13, 2016) – Mountaineer fans looking to cheer on the No. 24 West Virginia University wrestling team at the 2016 Big 12 Wrestling Championship on March 5-6 in Kansas City, Missouri, can now purchase tickets through the Mountaineer Ticket Office.

Tickets for the event, which will be held at the Sprint Center, can be purchased at WVUGAME.com, by calling 1-800-WVU-GAME or in person at Mountaineer Ticket Office in the WVU Coliseum. VIP seats are available for $100, premium seating is $60 and end zone seats are $40 per ticket.

In addition to moving to a neutral site this season, the Big 12 Championship will take on a format in 2016. With new associate members Air Force, Northern Colorado, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Utah Valley and Wyoming joining Iowa State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State the tournament will move to a two-day format. Session I, consisting of preliminary and quarterfinal matches, will start at Noon ET on Saturday, March 5. Session II will be semifinals and consolation quarterfinals matches at 6 p.m. that evening. On Sunday, March 6, Session III of consolation semifinals along with third- and fifth-place matches will start at 10 a.m. ET. The event with conclude with Session IV’s ten championship matches at 2 p.m. ET.

The Mountaineers will host a pair of home duals as they open Big 12 action this weekend. WVU will welcome No. 5 Oklahoma State to the WVU Coliseum on Friday in an 8 p.m. match before hosting No. 9 Oklahoma on Sunday in a 4 p.m. Beauty and the Beast event with the WVU gymnastics program.
