WVU Tech picks up 31-24 win on mat

BLUEFIELD, Virginia -- WVU Tech wrestling participated in its first dual of the 2018-19 campaign and picked up a 31-24 victory at NCAA DII Bluefield College (Virginia).

The Golden Bears were led by three pins from sophomores Logan Robertson (141 lbs.) and Devin Wilhelm (149 lbs.) and senior Robert Pritt (157 lbs.).

Tech also received points from senior Tristan Bean (133 lbs.) who recorded a 14-5 major decision and freshman Tucker Lawson (184 lbs.) with an 11-10 decision.

The Gold and Blue will return to the mat Saturday, November 10 when they travel to Danville, Virginia for the Averett Cougar Open.
