Tech competes at Averett Cougar Open

DANVILLE, West Virginia -- WVU Tech wrestling participated in the Averett Cougar Open in Danville Saturday where senior Tristan Bean finished fourth at 133 lbs. to lead the Golden Bears.
Bean scored a fall, a technical fall and a major decision towards his fourth place showing.
Freshman Cameron Crislip (165 lbs.), senior Robert Pritt (149 lbs.), sophomore Logan Robertson (141 lbs.), freshman Tucker Lawson (174 lbs.) and sophomore Nathan McClaugherty (141 lbs.) also scored points for the Gold and Blue.
Crislip finished with two falls, Pritt and Robertson both won by fall and decision, Lawson marked a pin and McClaugherty won in a tie-breaker in the first round.
Tech will host its first home dual of the season when Ohio Valley University comes to Van Meter Gym Friday, November 16 for a 6 p.m. bout.
